International cooperation

After the accession to the European Union in 2004, Lithuania has been making attempts to consolidate its membership in the EU. Specialists actively attend various working groups: GPSD Committee, DG SANCO, Committee of the EC on checks for conformity with rules on product safety in case of produts imported from third counties. Participate in administrative cooperation working groups (AdCo) on: toy safety Directive (2009/48/EC), machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), noise Directive (2000/14/EC), LVD Directive (2006/95/EC), pressure equipment Directive (2000/14/EC), cosmetic products Direcitve (76/768/EEB), regulation on construction products (305/2011 EU), eco-design Directive (2009/125/EC). 

Inspectorate is a member of PROSAFE – Product Safety Enforcement Forum of Europe.

Inspectorate is in collaboration with Latvia, Estonia, Poland.
